Who We Are

What we believe and how we live it out

Hi There!

We are glad that you're interested in who we are and what we do! We hope you find LPC a welcoming place and loving community.

Discover who we are...

Who We Are

We believe that our greatest purpose and calling is to love God and people. Jesus taught that this was the greatest commandments for His followers (Matthew 22:34-40, Mark 12:28-34, Luke 10:25-28) and we believe that it's still true today.

Jesus gave His followers a commission and strategy (Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:15, John 20:21, Acts 1:8). He called them, and us today, to follow Him and to help other people to follow Him. We were instructed to  do this by sharing His teachings and God's truth, and helping people be baptized - once they have decided to follow Jesus too.

We highly value our relationships with one another.

We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God.

We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

Meet the Team

Doug Baker

Lead Pastor

Doug and his family have been at LPC since March 2019. He's been married to his best friend, Ashleigh, for 14 years. And they are the proud parents of August and Fianna, twins who continue to be a double blessing.

Doug considers it a privilege to serve this community, encouraging and equipping its members to be more like Jesus everyday and make a difference with their lives.

It won't take long for you to learn that Doug loves people, humour, food... and the Green Bay Packers.

Ashleigh Baker

Associate Pastor - Children and Women's Ministry Focus

Ashleigh is a mother of twins and married to her childhood best friend, Doug. When she gets the chance, she enjoys being creative, baking (as her last name alludes), and spending time in nature.

Ashleigh is excited to encourage the children, who attend or visit LPC, to have fun while learning and growing in their faith.

Tyler Smith

Associate Pastor - Youth and Community Focus

Ty and his family joined the LPC family in June of 2022. He’s married to his partner in crime, Laura and they have two little boys, Zion and Shepherd.

He loves getting to watch and be a part of students walking in deeper relationships with Jesus. Ty has a heart for the lost and a passion to see students come to know Jesus through encountering the Holy Spirit.

It won’t take long to learn that he is a huge Montreal Canadiens fan. GO HABS GO! And that he has a sweet spot for his wife’s food and baking!

Kadie has been on the LPC team since February 2018. She's wife to the tall Tim and mum to three girls: Maja, Brenna and Adelyn.

Kadie is the resident granny -- sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and canning is her (homemade) jam.

Kadie is passionate about working with people and geeks out over neat systems. Also, chickens.

You'll meet Kadie at the welcome centre, ready to answer your questions and help you get involved.
